Welcome to Frizzy Lizzy's Place

Hi dear friends and followers well another week has gone by once again. Happy Saturday to everyone and please do take a minute, relax and enjoy my new instalment of our friend Frizzy Lizzy

"I don't know why the cable TV people aren't in jail for theft," grumbles Lizzy as she clicks the remote to shut off the TV. “The cable company says that they give you 150 channels to watch. What they don't tell you is that of that 150, 50 are in a language that you don't speak and the other 100 are just repeats of one another in standard and high definition, in three time zones. I don't need reruns of 'Who's the Boss,' 'The Golden Girls,' and 'Judge Judy.' I already know that I'm the boss around here, golden girl or not and I'm the best judge of that.”

Uncrossing her legs she sets her pink fuzzy slippered feet on the floor, muttering something about the movie “Planet of the Apes” not being very far from the truth. "If anyone doubts that monkeys could be the next in charge, well don't look now, I think it's already started." "Look at Congress. On second thought, don't look at Congress. At least monkeys have a purpose."

Lizzy toddles off towards the kitchen, reaches up to the radio on the shelf, tunes-in some music then turns, wiggling her backside to the beat of the music as she makes her way to the sink. Rattling a few dishes around she finds the cleanest cup, rinses it out and pours herself a coffee. She pulls the stool over and sets with her back toward the sink and slides her feet below the bottom rung.

"I thought I figured out why Election Day in America is in November. It's because that's the best time for picking out your turkey. But with the way things have been going over the past six years I'm not too sure about that any more. I mean, in what month are jackasses in season?”

"Politics! That's enough of that! It can drive you batty trying to figure out who the good guy is and who the bad guy is. After a few years in Washington they all begin to remind me of my first ex: Horny and after a fast buck.”

“Speaking of sex, I'm no different from anyone else, you know. I like sex. My idea of a sex life is pretty simple. All I want is a guy who will do what I want him to do, when I want him to do it, for as long as I want him it, and then just go away, sort of like a Dust Buster: plugged-in, charged-up and ready to go where I want him to."

“I'd better get moving. Get groceries, buy gas, go to the vet for the dog...or was that buy groceries and get gas and find a dog of a vet? Anyway, thank you for stopping-in. See you later!”

Thank you for dropping by, hope you enjoyed your stay, have a great day

Native legends of Little people and mythological creatures

Native legends of Little people and mythological creatures

Hello, dear friends, and thank you for sharing your time with me. I am grateful that you are here visiting my blog.
Hi dear friends and followers.

I am in the process of piecing and putting together some of the histories on North American Native legends of the Little people and other mythological creatures as they were related by the old storytellers of the day.

Yesterday I posted some Native American stories about the Little People, the Jagonah, as some called them. One of the major sources for my post is a work by Mabel Powers called Stories The Iroquois Tell Their Children. Her book was copyrighted in 1917 and is now in the public domain so I do not have any qualms about presenting the stories and wisdom that she has gathered to you in this, my humble blog. This is the dedication from her book:

To all the Children who ask

How and Why,

especially those Red Children

who see with wonder eyes,

and those Paleface Children

who yet believe in fairies

these stories are lovingly dedicated

I will retell the stories that she has retold in her book in my own words, hewing as closely as I can to her original text. I wish that I could do the same for the illustrations from the book. They are beautiful.

With one or two exceptions that I will note later the stories came directly from the Iroquois people themselves. The stories were reviewed by Ga wa so wa neh, also called Arthur C. Parker.

HOW THE STORIES CAME TO BE

Out of the moons of long ago, the stories have come. Back then every tribe of the Iroquois had its storyteller.

When the Old Man of the North came out of his lodge and turned the forests and rivers of the Red Children frozen and white with his breath, the storytellers wandered from wigwam to wigwam.

They would sit on warm skins next to the fire and exclaim, “Hanio!” This meant “Come, gather round, and I will tell you a story.”

Then all the Red Children would cry, “Heh,” and draw close to the fire. This meant that they were glad to hear the story. And as the flames leaped and chased one another over the logs, they would listen to these wonder stories of the Little People, of the trees and flowers, of birds, of animals, and of men. When the storyteller had finished, he said, “Na ho.” This meant, “It is the end.”

The Earth was very young when the Red Children first learned how everything came to be and just why it is that things are as they are. They told these wonderful things to their children and their children in turn told them to their children; and those children again told them to theirs, that these things might not be forgotten.

Now, but few of the Red Children know these stories that the grandmothers and old men of the tribe used to tell. The storyteller is no longer seen wandering from wigwam to wigwam.

Iroquois Little People

Stories about "Little People" are quite often found in many collections of Iroquois folk tales. Haudenosaunee Little People are called Jo gah oh, and these fairy-like nature spirits come in several different categories.

One type are the Gahongas, which means Stone Throwers or Stone Rollers, who live in rocky places such as caves and riverbeds. Though they are only three to four feet tall, they are incredibly strong and can rip a tall tree straight out of its roots. Rockfalls, and other natural events that move the earth, are said to be caused by them.

A friendly form of nature spirit are the Gandayah. Their name means Drum Dancers, which is due to the fact that they are invisible, so the only way that the Iroquois people knew of their presence was by the sound of their drums. If the Gandayah are pleased, they will help the Iroquois farmers, and crops will grow more successfully. They are guardians of nutritious plants, such as fruit and grains.

The third type of Little People in Iroquois lore are the Ohdows. They are similar to dwarves in European folklore in that they live underground. Their job is to keep underground creatures like snakes, and more fearsome creatures of legend, under control.

This is the introduction to more posts so I will stop here for now. My next post will be about the proper time for telling stories.
Again, my thanks for allowing me to share these stories with you.

Thank you very much dear friends and followers for reading this introduction. I would truly be grateful to hear some thoughts and suggestions on these new upcoming new blog posts. Thank you

With love form your Fairy Lady

Some Little People Across North America

Hi dear friends and followers.
I have pieced and rewritten some parts of the history on North American Native legends of the Little people here for you.
I hope you find it as interesting as I have. Have a great read and if you wish to ask any questions or offer any Ideas I would be pleased to accommodate you as best I can

Some Little People Across North America

Just as fae-folk and elfin creatures existed in the mythologies and folklore across Europe, similar creatures are a part of traditional folk custom all around the world. The North American continent is full of these stories, and they are just as unique and varied as the unique regional tales found across Europe.

From East to West, Native American tribes told stories of Little People, and some claim to see them today! Many of the stories show similarities to Irish leprechaun tales, leading some early researchers to believe that that stories seeped into Native culture from early Irish immigrants. This has been proven false, however. It is now understood that these stories are indigenous to the Americas and independent of European influence.

What follows here is a collection of stories from three sources: Charlie Perry, Haskell University, Lawrence, Kansas; the HubPages Blog of Carolyn Emerick; and the author, Mabel Powers. Also used: Wikipedia Article, Early Localization Native Americans NY.

Native Culture: Little People.

By Charlie Perry

There are many different and unique things that make a Native American, from rich histories to deeply rooted traditions, and tribal cultures. Some tribal traditions are very much the same, while others differ greatly. With that being said I will be writing an occasional analysis of traditions and folklore that many Native tribes share in an attempt to illustrate that though we may be of different tribes, we are still one great people.

Since I’ve been at Haskell I’ve actively discussed many different cultural viewpoints with fellow students from a wide variety of tribes, spanning from the blue, ever flowing waters of the Great Lakes, to the rocky and rich soils of the Southwest. My peers share many different views on life and what it is to be a Native American, yet one thing they all are akin to is their standing belief in the existence of Little People.

Little People are in essence small fairy like creatures, or in some case dwarf like, that share many of the same features of humans. They span from eight inches to four feet in height and dress in a quaint Native traditional fashion. Little People live in hiding as they stand ever vigilant over their individual tribes, helping to ward off evil spirits and disease. They are also geared towards a bit of mischief at times towards adult Natives, such as hiding objects and whispering in a Native dreamer’s ear to influence their journey through the dream world. The Little People’s paramount objective is the protection and well-being of children and they will become violent with anyone who threatens or attempts harm to a child.

There have been thousands of sightings and stories from all walks of Native life over the last few hundred years involving these fairly-like protectors.

One such story from the Mohegans tells of a great storm ripping through the surrounding forests causing much destruction and sickness. In the midst of the chaos a Mohegan woman heard a knock at her door. Upon opening it she bore witness to a tiny man who was in urgent need of help for his wife. Thinking this was just a child playing a game, the Mohegan woman followed the little man deep into the forest where they eventually found his home. Walking through the small house to find a small sick lady, the Mohegan woman knew that in fact she was in the presence of Little People. Tending the wounds of the little woman was successful. Very pleased, the little man blindfolded the woman and led her back to her camp. Over the course of the next few days the woman would open her door to find many small gifts as thanks for her charitable service in time of great need.

Another such story from the Menomini Tribe tells of a little man who looks much like a human being standing three to four feet high who turns invisible at will. He has one purpose: to bring slumber to those he encounters. When dusk comes he begins his work, staring at a person they cannot help but fall asleep. For those who are already in their beds, he softly hits them in the head with a pillow, starting with babies and moving forward to the older people. He is called the Master of the Night and it is said that those who feel his strike will live a very long life. This story may seem familiar to many of us and is most likely the basis of what most Americans know today as the "Sandman.”

The most famous story of a Little People encounter was passed down from the legendary Crow chief Plenty Coups (Aleek-chea-ahoosh). Plenty Coups tells a tale happening to him shortly after his brother, a great and noble warrior, was killed in battle by raiding Lakotas when Plenty Coups was nine years old. Feeling much heartache for his lost brother, Aleek-chea-ahoosh fasted for four days, used the sweat lodge, rubbed his body with sage and cedar and ventured into the nearby hills to have a vision.

In this vision he encountered the chief of the Little People who took him into a spirit-world lodge and showed him all the beauty of nature. The little chief demanded Plenty Coups count his great deeds, yet he was but nine years old and had no great deeds to count. The little chief made it clear to Plenty Coups he would accomplish two great deeds for his people among many others. One of which was that he would become chief of his people if he used his wits. The other was that Plenty Coups would help deliver his people from pain and suffering brought on by settlers. Upon returning to his tribe Plenty Coups now had a clear mind and a clear mission.

When Plenty Coups was eleven he had his second and most influential vision involving the little chief. After fasting for two days and walking the Bear Tooth Mountains hoping for a vision, he found none. He returned home a few days later where he cut off the tip of his left index finger as an offering to the spirit world. That night the chief of the Little People came to him in a dream where he was introduced to a buffalo that turned into a man with buffalo like features (the buffalo-man) who led him underground, down tunnels towards the Pryor Mountains of present day Montana. Plenty Coups saw many great bison coming out of the tunnels only to disappear into the light.

A voice told Aleek-chea-ahoosh that the time of the Plains Indians was ending and that the white man would swarm over the land like buffalo and the only way to survive the change would be to listen to the Earth. Plenty Coups did just that securing the land seen in his vision around the Pryor Mountains and holding it for the Crow people to this very day.

Physical remains of little human like people have been reportedly found in numerous locations around the United States, particularly Montana and Wyoming. They have also been uncovered in Southwestern states such as Arizona and New Mexico. They are usually described as being “perfectly formed” and dwarf-sized, helping to contribute to public belief in the existence of groups of a little prehistoric people. Though some are elaborate hoaxes or deemed mummified children, other discoveries to this day cannot be explained.

Many Americans look at Little People as no more than a fairy tale. In this day and age of I-pads and smart phones it’s usually deemed silly to believe in magic. Yet we as a Native people are much different. Not only do we all believe in Mother Earth and Father Sky alongside the spirit world, we actively pay homage and invite magic into our cultures and lives. Being a Native in itself is magic regardless of tribal affiliation. So if you see a Little Person don’t be afraid because we are one of the few that has our eyes open enough to do so.

The Haudenosaunee People

Most readers are familiar with the Iroquois but many people do not know that "Iroquois" is a name that was given to them by Europeans. Today, these people prefer to use the word from their own language for themselves: Haudenosaunee, which means "People of the Long House."

The Iroquois Confederacy was originally formed when five smaller nations, Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, and Senecas (becoming the Six Nations in the 18th century when the Tuscarora migrated back north to New York) united with a goal to peacefully solve conflict. It is known as the first democracy in North America. They held a wide range of land mainly in New York, and thus have a very diverse and rich tradition of myths and legends.

Iroquois Little People

Stories about "Little People" are quite often found in many collections of Iroquois folk tales. Haudenosaunee Little People are called Jogah, and these fairy-like nature spirits come in several different categories.

The third type of Little People in Iroquois lore are the Ohdows. They are similar to dwarves in European folklore in that they live underground. Their job is to keep underground creatures like snakes, and more fearsome creatures of legend, under control.

A Jogah Fairy Tale

How the Jogah Wove Their Magic – Carolyn Emerick Hub Pages Blog

Once upon a time there was a young Haudenosaunee girl who was very sad, indeed. The girl was forced to live with her wicked aunt and uncle after the Great Spirit had taken her mother and father out of this world. Her relatives did not want her,and so they were very cruel, often sending her to bed without a meal, only giving her scraps. One day, her uncle brought home a large deer from the hunt. But, as her aunt began preparations for a feast, she told the girl to get out! The poor girl was told there was no room in the lodge and there would be no meat left for her. She ran from the lodge into a cornfield and

began to cry.

Suddenly, Little People emerged from the cornstalks and began to surround the girl, comforting her. "Dear Earth Child, do not cry!" said one little person, stroking the girl's head. "We know the reason for your sadness for we watch over all the children of the Earth. Come with us, for we have a great feast prepared! We will show you wonderful things that you have never imagined, and we will take care of you."

The girl dried her eyes and smiled for the first time in ages. "Who are you, who are so very kind to me?" she asked just as they wrapped the girl in a warm, yet invisible, blanket. Slipping winged moccasins on their tiny feet, they replied "we are the Jogah! And we will show you our world!"

One of the Little People placed an enchanted corn plume in her hair. Suddenly the little girl shrank to the same size as the Jogah, and then they all lifted up into the air! Over the village and into the wilderness lands they flew until they reached a rocky ledge. Two great boulders rolled away to reveal the entrance to the great lodge of the Jogah. The fragrance of freshly baked bread and roasting meat made the Earth Girl's stomach growl. The kind Jogah mothers had prepared a feast in her honor.

The little girl had not been treated with such kindness since she lost her parents. After she had eaten her fill, the Jogah chief approached her. The girl said to him, "Your people are so kind to me. And, I am amazed by their powers! Can you go wherever, and do whatever you wish?" she asked the Chief.

The Jogah Chief said to Earth Girl, "Yes, although we are small, our strength is large. Come with us so we can show you what wonders we can do!" And with that, he took her hand and they again lifted into the air.

With a small host of Little People, Earth Girl and the Chief flew back to her village. At first, the girl worried as they neared the longhouse of her cruel aunt and uncle. But then she realized that she trusted these Little People, for they were so kind to her.

It was now nighttime, and the village was fast asleep. The girl could see the deer hung outside of the longhouse. The Chief pointed to the deer and said, "We can speak to our wolf friends, and will tell them there is a fat, tasty deer just waiting to be eaten. What a surprise your wicked relatives will have tomorrow when the food for their feast is gone!" The little girl furrowed her brows in thought. It had been years since any wolves had been seen in these woods. But, with a signal from the Little People, a pack of wolves came out of the woods and ran straight toward the deer! Within moments the deer was torn to shreds and the meat was completely gone. As the girl returned to the Jogah lodge, she wished that she could live with them forever.

A few days had passed when the Jogah Chief approached Earth Girl again. "Now that you have rested, are you ready to see more wonders?" Of course she said yes.

The Chief took the girl to the creekside where a tiny canoe was waiting. They rowed until the creek met the river, and continued on for some time. When the Chief brought them ashore, the girl saw that they were approaching a gigantic tree.

"A great black bear lives within this tree," said the Chief. Earth Girl looked up and saw a doorway up high on the trunk. "I will use my magic to lock that door so the bear cannot come out. And then I will send a deep sleep upon him. Black Bear will sleep soundly for many moons until the Spring comes." And with those words, the Chief threw a stone at the bear's tree. The stone burst into a flame that spread over the door like a blanket, but did not burn the wood. He did this again, and then a third time. Earth Girl heard the bear roar from inside the tree and claw at the door. But, after the third stone, there was silence.

The Chief spoke again. "Our friend, Black Bear, will now sleep peacefully through the winter. Come, Earth Girl, let us continue our journey." Back in the canoe, the girl felt an invisible blanket beside her, and wrapped it tightly about her shoulders for the cold winds were beginning to blow.

"That is not all I have to show you," said the Chief. With a wave of his hands, the invisible sails on the canoe stretched out wide . The little girl was surprised when the canoe began to rise into the air, and soon they were flying with the birds. The birds were very friendly with the Jogah, and they called out for a race. "Let's go!" cried the Chief, and the canoe shot through the sky like lightning! The canoe was faster than them all, even the eagle could not catch them! She was having so much fun, the little girl wished she could be a Little Person and live with the Jogah forever.

Then the magical canoe began to drift lower and descend to land. The Jogah Chief brought little Earth Girl back to the cornfield near her home. "I don't want to go back!" Earth Girl cried. The Chief hushed her and said, "Do not be afraid, Earth Girl. Your aunt and uncle have been very worried about you. They saw the remains of the deer and feared that the wolves had dragged you away from your village. We have softened their hearts and heard them pray for the Great Spirit to bring you home." They both stepped out of the canoe and the Jogah Chief gave her a hug before returning her to her right size.

The little girl walked slowly toward her village with sadness in her heart. She did not want to leave the Jogah and was afraid to return to her wicked family. How surprised she was when her aunt came running to greet her! All fear and sadness left Earth Girl's heart as she was swept up in her aunt's arms. "We were so worried about you! Where have you been?"

The little girl never told her aunt and uncle about her adventures with the Jogah. But, she was much happier at home now and her aunt and uncle treated her with love and kindness for the rest of their days.

This story was adapted from "How The Fairies Worked Their Magic" from 'Stories the Iroquois Tell Their Children' by Mabel Powers. The story above is retold in my own words.

Quantum Consciousness

Hi dear friends and followers, I have here an old document I have written sometime back on the topic on Choices and Quantum Consciousness. Have a great read and if you wish to ask any questions or offer any Ideas I would be quite pleased to oblige

Choices
Some choose to navigate their lives’ in is a way of life they are comfortable with, perhaps the only one they know. Accepting all the wrong doings of others as normal. The most frequent reason for this stems from ones conditioning, the environment they grew up in from early childhood.

Quantum Consciousness

The unfolding of the mysteries of the universe progresses much quicker during these modern times than it did, say, 50 years ago. This is owing much to modern day media, TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, books and the internet, which in itself can move something like ten times the volume of information than the conventional means all put together.

Today you will note an increasing growth in the interest in spirituality, faith, seeings, sensings, knowings, quantum physics and the metaphysical, more so than there ever was at any given time in prior recorded history. Man has held a fascination, sometimes to the degree of an obsession in learning more about the unknown and what lies beyond *this* reality.

Fairy Energy – by The Painted Spirit

Hi, dear friends and followers. I am pleased you were able to come by my blog  to visit and to share with us. This is not my own personal story and experience but it runs a very close parallel, the fairy energy is always nearby. Please sit back and relax and take five to read. Thank you.

Fairy Energy – by The Painted Spirit

Have you ever been shocked by someone or shocked another person by accident? I’m not talking about the short, little ones. I’m talking about the strong zaps that literally make you say, “Ouch!”. Well, I compare a fairy's energy to that type of “zap”. It’s not negative in any way, but for me, their energy is fast, concise and strong. I have also found that their energy exchange is not unconditional as with the angels.

I have shared the energy of angels through direct experience and their energy and service to us is unconditional in its love and more expansive than fairy energy because of that love. I don’t necessarily mean that it's stronger. I mean that an angel's energy will consume a room. It fills the space both around you and within you. It’s gentle, loving, and unconditional.
A fairy's energy will tingle all around you. It will twitter, zig and zag, and even push you. It’s very similar to a sparkler that you light to celebrate the Fourth of July or other holiday. Bright, bursting, and pulsing, their energies will continue to send off flashes. Their energy, as I’ve experienced it, has worked via compulsions instead of what I’m used to by the angels, which is guided by love.

At one time in my life I had received direction to get outdoors more often. The angels had sent me a few messages. The messages were gentle. They would come via oracle card readings, dreams, pendulum readings. They wished for me to be back out in nature more. They wanted me to get into open space and surround myself with fresh air, trees, flowers, so I began taking walks with my dog.

The walks would steer me through some beautiful scenery and I did always feel better. One morning I was sitting at my desk, doing my journal work, and felt a strong sense, a push really, to pull a card from a new oracle card deck I had received where fairies were depicted. I pulled the card and it said I needed to call on the fairies, that the next time I went out on a walk I should call on them, ask them to show themselves to me. The card was that specific! And so I did.

On my next walk I opened myself and said, “OK, fairies, I invite you to be with me on this walk and work with me in whatever way is for my highest good. I am safe to see you.” And within just a few seconds a large flight of tiny finch birds took off from a tree across the street from where I was walking. They flew from tree to tree, bush to bush, all along my walk. I smiled and even laughed as the tiny little birds were talking to one another. I took note and said, “Thank you for joining me.”

Now birds can been seen as just something in nature that happened along, but I know without doubt it was the fairies. These tiny little finches never left the path I walked. They just went the exact direction I did until my walk was complete. From that point on the fairies have not left my side. Has it all been fun? No, but I say that with a smile as they expect a return on their investment. I also say that with great respect for they only ask that I step up and do my part.

The answer to, “Well, what would my part be?” – if you’re asking that question – is pretty simple. For me, it was getting myself outside and working with Mother Earth, restoring her and helping her to heal in areas where I felt compelled to do so. That didn’t mean I had to join a group or a cause. It meant I needed to step outside and work in my yard, be a part of it, work the weeds out, put in new plants, and talk to the life out there. It meant that on my walks I would need to pick up trash along the way – and I do. I also teach others respect for our Earth in just casual conversation and rear my children in this way. These are my tasks and so they don’t ask too much of me, only that I reflect that which I believe to be true, that we are all one and must treat all life with respect.

From this exchange the fairies visit with me often. They provide me with opportunities I would not have expected. My house is located on a lot of land where landscaping is quite a chore. It’s just a lot of work and often due to the size some of it does not get attention. My husband and I had talked many times about what we wanted to do with the front yard, but were overwhelmed. The same goes for the back yard. To top it off, we always chose plants that seem to die. I remember just giving up and saying, “Well, if you want us to work in our yard then give us some help.” Then it happened.

One of my husband’s clients is a horticulturalist and runs a landscape business. She just happened to be working a job across the street during the early part of summer. On one of her stops to our neighbor's house she walked over. To ours. She began talking about our yard and the next thing we knew, as a favor to us, she engaged in helping us with ideas and plans for our front yard. She did a fantastic job and now our front yard looks like a fairy tale! We’re in process of working on the backyard now and with the help of my fairy friends it’s coming along nicely.

Our back yard is to have a garden where we can get wholesome fruits and vegetables. The fairies have been giving many ideas of what to do and how to do it. How do they do this? By planting the pictures in my mind of what will work and how I can use all the resources I already have. That is another great perk to working with fairies in that they will always go the recycling approach if possible so items you never considered before will be used one way or another. I wasn’t sure what to do with some very large river rocks that came from our front yard. They are now serving as the walls for a wonderful planter that will have all types of vegetable growing in it.

These are some of the ways in which fairy energy works in my life. I know that I have yet to see all of it and I am excited as I wait to see what they might do next. Some say that fairies can be mean. I don’t feel that way. I have not come across any that have been mean or negative towards me.

I can say they will be insistent that you do your part. I can also say that when you don’t do your part they will not engage and help in any way. I also feel they are saddened by this as they want to reengage with humans. They want to believe again that our intentions are pure. I feel that inviting them into one's life is a commitment and one worth making.

I would love to hear fairy stories from anyone willing to share. It’s possible you might know this, but they love it when we talk about them.  ❤❤
Thank you dear friends for reading this post. It is about faith my dears.

Animal Whispering

Animal Whispering

Hi, I lived most of my growing up years in the bush country of Northern Ontario. Never gave it much thought but after coming across some topics on animal whispering after watching the movie, (horse whisperer) I became curious on this topic and began doing some research. I believe I am what one could call an "animal whisperer."

I can sit on a park bench and have squirrels climb up on my shoulders, look in my eyes, and let out a couple chirps, then leave again. Same with birds, raccoons, rabbits, skunks, cats, dogs, and any other variety of domestic animals as well as my friends from the wilds, large or small. Respect them and give them their distance and let them come to you.

My Thoughts On Shapeshifting

Hello, dear friends and followers. I am happy to see you here today. I have my own personal story and experience to relate to you on the topic of shape shifting. Please sit back and relax and take five to read. Thank you.

My Thoughts On Shapeshifting

First of all, no matter what you do you are not going to physically turn shapes just by willing it. Turning into the shape of an animal, well, you can just drop that idea right now. But shapeshifting is a reality.

It is done through visualization coupled with two-way communications with an animal's subconsciousness, so that you may carry the power and abilities or instinctive characteristics of an animal with you when you need it. It's rather like remote viewing through an animal's eyes.

This ability appears to come more naturally to those who have empathic sensitivities and are sensitive to their surroundings. Creating a mental image in your mind of the fiercest or strongest beast you know of as an aid to build the courage to overcome adversity is an example of this type of empathy.

Drawing on the power of an animal's spirit in such a way is a first step to shapeshifting. It is also a way of getting to know an animal better, to feel them and become “as them” so that you are both as one.

Walk a mile in another man's shoes then you are the man.

In other words it's very much like mental telepathy, but I prefer calling it mind speak, that is, thoughts transferred from one mind to another, or mind projections. The recipient of the thoughts accepts them as its own.
Your thoughts now travel in the animal's mind and you see through its eyes. This was an old Native American trick, to project your mind in a wolf's, lets say, and the wolf scouts the enemy camp. Enemy pays no attention, all they see is a lone wolf.

You can be the mouse scurrying on the forest floor trying to outrun the eagle, or you can be the eagle chasing the mouse. It's always about feelings. You believe your inner sensitivities and go with them. They will not steer you in the wrong direction. Close your eyes and speak with the birds, mind speak, and they will answer.

Finally, shapeshifting allows you to take on animal form while on a shamanic journey, or astral plane while you sit in a comfortable position where there will be no distraction. In your office, your car in the parking lot, or in your home, wherever time allows. Your comfort is the most important thing. Be really comfortable.

Relax, close your eyes, call and envision and greet the animal spirit to which you wish to shapeshift. Let yourself become that animal in posture, stance, movement and sound (empathy). How does this animal see, hear, taste, touch, smell? What is it experiencing? Envision yourself moving as it would move. Become it with all the abandon of a small child. Experience it as long as you wish. When you choose, thank the animal spirit that has helped guide you in learning its ways and then return to your human body. Write or draw your experiences if this helps you.

You can do this with as many creatures as you wish, getting comfortable with their different forms and abilities, so that if you are in need of their strengths you need only do them for short lengths of time, because if you do it too often it becomes like a mask. On the other hand, masks have been used as a focus to help in the mindshift used in shapeshifting and might be something you would like to try.

The most profound effect of shapeshifting that people can see is shadows or shapes that are there at the peripheral vision or part of something, like a bush, the side of the house, behind the car, the lamp post, then blink, and nothing.

What these shadowy beings are I have no idea but because they are shadows I have never felt anything malevolent from them. I have had one in particular who has been with me since I was 9 years old, but that's another story.

My friends, the shapeshifters? Of course, I see many of them in the woods.

Again, I strongly suggest you should be careful not to take on any one form for too long. Changes in your abilities will happen with time, not by keeping the abilities of a certain animal with you at all times. Do not learn too well. It is all well and good to want the courage of a lion, but do you want the arrogance and pride with you at all times as well?

Thank you very much, dear friends and followers, for coming today. I hope you have enjoyed reading my personal experience with shape shifters.
With love from your Fairy Lady
